At Morrison Agri, we focus on training school leavers and adults who are wanting a career in the agricultural sector.
The pathway starts with an apprenticeship, working closely with Competenz, MPTA (The Milking & Pumping Trade Association), and our own internal training program. This is all managed by a dedicated Morrison Agri facilitator.
EMPLOYING THE FUTURE
We offer 3 types of apprenticeships that complement our existing divisions:
- Dairy Engineering
- General Engineering
- Water Pumping
Our apprentice technicians start within our installation teams and as their skill set progresses, move more to diagnostics and servicing.
A focus of our business is that everyone within the organisation has the opportunity to upskill in their chosen field every year. Our management team utilises the services of NZIM (New Zealand Institute of Management and Leadership) and other management training providers.
We have recently teamed up with Aspire 2 to create an aspiring leaders programme.
I have really enjoyed my time at Morrison Agri, I find the company really accommodating Paul as an amazing boss and I really do feel like I'm learning a lot and I love coming to work every day
