During a scheduled annual servicing a steel roller was found to be worn and the system was experiencing breakdowns as a result. It was decided to upgrade the system from a steel to a nylon roller.

The team went out to the customer with a couple of recommendations, either replacing like for like, or replacing with essentially a new system altogether. After a decision was made and the quote was accepted it took about 4-5 heavy engineers about 2.5 weeks to replace the system. The wear strip was milled taking the variance out of the raw material and producing a far more accurate result for the roller. The system was then commissioned and monitored for the first 2 weeks and a follow-up check 30 days later ensured everything had continued running as smoothly as it should.
